Here is a heavy (528 grams) vintage Navajo native American squash blossom necklace. Certainly vintage, likely pre 1970s. It is 27 inches long and composed of hand made mercury dime beads, US Morgan dollar squash blossoms, and sterling silver morgan dollar naja strung on very heavy double strand wire with sterling cones and a hand made hook and eye latch. The naja is 3 x 2.5 inches. What is curious is the rounded tablet hallmark with a F and arrow pointing towards the F. This hallmark seems to resemble that of a famous native American jeweler, but it is not a perfect match, which of course, is not uncommon as hallmarks evolved and or were shoe horned into various settings or applications. Perhaps a experienced collector or dealer will know for sure. My price is not based on the hallmark being Peshlakai because I cannot really attribute a " close proximity ". At 528 grams it is certainly a heavy necklace. I have left the current patina on the necklace. Pre owned with typical age wear. 95 % of the items I sell are pre-owned, vintage, or antique. Every item I sell will have some signs of wear. The combination of photos and descriptions are my best effort to communicate the beauty, condition, and any defects. Your personal expertise regarding an item may well be greater than mine so feel free to ask questions regarding elements not mentioned in my description. Sometimes issues come up and there are delays, which I understand.
